                                                    Lorraine Fields is a registered nurse, lecturer and the Associate Head of School (Learning and Teaching) in the School of Nursing at the University of Wollongong. Lorraine is passionate about sustainable development and has particular interests in embedding principles of sustainability into the curriculum utilising the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework. She is currently enrolled in a PhD which explores the impact of education on the SDGs for nursing students. In 2019, Lorraine was awarded a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) for her contributions to teaching and learning. She has interests and expertise in curriculum design with a particular emphasis on online engagement and interaction, authentic assessment, the flipped classroom and creating inclusive learning environments. Lorraine has a Master of Philosophy and a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care. Her clinical background is in emergency nursing and she has worked at several Emergency Departments in NSW.
