Speaker Bio
I am an Associate Professor within the Sydney Business School, the University of Wollongong with a unique blend of teaching and learning, governance and research expertise in the field of responsible management education and experiential learning with contribution evidenced at institutional, national and international levels. I have the privilege of working across the Faculty, University and local communities as the Deputy Associate Dean Education with global impact as a Board member of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management.

I am passionate about embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals within education and community and have received a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning alongside becoming a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I work across faculties, local councils and community organisations to enable action towards realising the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

My research focuses on systemic approaches in teaching and learning that includes responsible leadership and sustainable business practice. My research interests are in the fields of business education and experiential learning, in particular systemic responsible and sustainable management decision-making.

I teach design thinking, business transformation and innovation curriculum. I have designed and developed a web-based total-enterprise computer simulation (IDLE) for use in a business capstone subject. IDLE recently won the NSW iAwards for information, communication and technology innovation and the UOW Trailblazer award for potential innovative products.

I enjoy working with local high schools to develop their love of business studies and open their eyes to university offerings. I endeavour to underpin my teaching philosophy with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) foundations, the Sustainable Development Goals realisation and strive to ensure business higher education is realistic and engaging.
