                                                    Professor Wilma Vialle is a Professor in Educational Psychology and Pro Vice-Chancellor Global at the University of Wollongong, Australia. She has published extensively in the field of giftedness and talent development, including a text on ‘Educating the Gifted Learner’ co-authored with Professor Karen Rogers. Her research interests are predominantly concerned with giftedness and talent development and she is particularly interested in issues of social justice. Research projects include an international study of effective teachers of the gifted, a longitudinal study of adolescent academic and social-emotional outcomes, the development of expertise in competitive Scrabble players, popular culture and giftedness, and the development of spiritual understanding in children. She is on the editorial board of several international journals. Wilma is passionate about enhancing our capacity to support the development of excellence and, to this end, has worked extensively with educators and families to advocate for appropriate resources and ongoing teacher training.
